Terms and Conditions for Jumpin Janners.

Jumpin Janners terms and conditions will explain all aspects of hire and usage of all available castles and products. We reserve the right to refuse hire at any point we feel the following terms and conditions have not been adhered to.

It is the hirers responsibility to follow these regulations accordingly. If the hirer is in any doubt to the meaning of the following, a representative from Jumpin Janners must be contacted immediately. The hirer will, during the period of hire, be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, its care, safety from damage, however minor and the behaviour of any person using the equipment.

Please see below our full terms and condition, disclaimer and hire agreement which will require a signature from the hirer.

Bookings – Terms and Conditions.

  • Hirers must be aged 18 years or over, identification will be required where the hirer may not look the required age.
  • It is the hirers responsibility to check all required dimensions for space needed for our equipment. All our space requirements are clearly stated on each asset type. On arrival, where equipment will not fit within the desired area or expected to be placed on unsuitable terrain, Jumpin Janners reserve the right to 100% of hire costs.
  • Jumpin Janners only hire on flat, grassed areas for outdoor hirers, unless previously arranged (Please call for hard standing details).
  • Overnight hire is currently unavailable for all castles / products.
  • Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee, if directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Jumpin Janners excludes any liability for injury, loss or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to our terms & conditions.
  • Whilst the equipment is in the hirers possession and control, liability for injuries or other losses caused, rests solely with the hirer. It is strongly recommended that the hirer has appropriate public liability insurance, covering his / her liability arising from the use of our equipment.
  • The hirer’s name, address and timings will be taken when making a booking.
  • On arrival to a location the area required is not big enough for our products (all sizes displayed on website), the full cost of hire will be charged to the customer. It is the responsibility of the hirer to check the sizes and space required is big enough.

Booking fees & charges – Terms and Conditions.

  • We only take deposits for the hire of our equipment when it is for an event or the hire cost is £100.00 or more. The deposit will be £50.00 or up to jumpin janners discretion. If a deposit is not required we ask that, in the unlikely and unfortunate scenario you have to make a cancellation, we ask for as much notice as possible to prevent future bookings not being granted. Deposits are non refundable unless the weather prevents the event or hire from taking place. The weather decision is determined by Jumpin Janners and not the hirer.
  • Full payment must be made on completion of setup or the day before the hire, failure to pay will result in all equipment being removed from location.
  • Jumpin Janners requires full payment prior to any events: – weddings, engagements, christenings. Where the hirer is not likely to be at the chosen hire venue there is a requirement for signatures and payment to be made. We will not deliver to an unsecured location without the hirer being present.
  • Jumpin Janners will require an additional call out charge of £25 per hour if needed to attend any event / premises where fault is not regarded as our own.
  • Any damage to any equipment provided by Jumpin Janners as a result of negligence on the hirers part, will be charged accordingly.
  • Please treat our equipment with respect. Mistreated, overly dirty inflatables when being collected will incur a £50.00 cleaning charge.
  • Stains on our castles due to, but not limited to things like; party poppers, face paint, silly string will incur a £50.00 cleaning charge or a charge for material change if this can not be cleaned (approx £150).
  • If Adults have been on the children’s castles / equipment, the hirer’s will be required to pay for an inspection of the castle for safety reasons (approx: £80.00).
  • Any deliveries more than 10 miles from our base will be charged. The price will be discussed when booking.

Cancellations – Terms and Conditions.

  • Hirers may cancel bookings at anytime.
  • Deposits are subject to booking fees and charges. They are non refundable unless due to poor weather conditions. Adverse weather cancellations will be subject to Jumpin Janners and not the customers choice or recommendation.
  • If we arrive at the venue due to no communication of any cancellation, the hirer will be liable for full cost.
  • Last minute cancellations could prevent future bookings being granted.
  • Jumpin Janners will cancel a booking due to adverse weather conditions. Severe winds above 24mph are forecast or heavy rain, which due to health and safety reasons Jumpin Janners would either cancel or reschedule. If Jumpin Janners are going to cancel the booking, we will notify you at the earliest opportunity possible.
  • Jumpin Janners reserve the right to cancel any booking, where there is a potential health & safety risk to the hirer, their guests or the public. We operate a common sense approach in regards to weather conditions. Jumpin Janners will not be persuaded to change our decision, our decision is final.
  • Please bear in mind, after equipment is installed, weather conditions may not make the equipment suitable for use.

COVID 19 – Terms & Conditions.

  • We sanitise our units on set up, so our customers are in no doubt this process has taken place. We use specially formulated cleaning products that kill the coronavirus and protect our customers. We also follow all the government and environmental health guidelines when delivering our products to our customers. To hire any of our bouncy castles / products, we have a few safety measures in place. Please read the following and familiarise yourself with the following steps you MUST take for us to successfully deliver our products.
  • On arrival to your property, we ask all customers & guests to maintain social distancing whilst we erect your bouncy castle. We ask you do the same again for collection as this allows us to follow social distancing guidelines.
  • We will sanitise your unit once inflated, please bear with us whilst we carry out this necessary process.
  • Jumpin Janners would prefer NOT to enter your property, we will pass an extension cable in through a desired window and ask you to plug into a power source. We are not able to take any units through your property but we can access through a side building or a garage onto a back garden.

Delivery Policy – Terms and Conditions.

  • If you are outside of the areas shown on our website, please contact us to see if we can provide a service (this will incur an additional delivery charge).
  • When we are unable to provide your delivery due to adverse weather, vehicle failure, illness or any other factor, we will inform you of this at the earliest possible opportunity. Delivery times can be arranged during the booking process.
  • We try to be as flexible as possible for deliveries and timings when you book.
  • Upon delivery the hirer must sign our T&Cs / Disclaimer and Hire Agreement. The hirer will also need to pay any remaining balance when accepting delivery of the assets. Jumpin Janners will NOT deliver any assets without the final balance paid either on delivery or prior to event starting, in accordance with the above booking fees and charges.
  • Please ensure that there is adequate space for our castles / products and the location is accessible for our equipment. The area must be clear of mess / objects and debris. You will be liable for the whole hire costs if we cannot deliver your product due to a lack of space, accessibility or due to an inappropriate location.
  • £5.00 will be added to all deliveries that require the use of the Torpoint ferry or Tamar bridge.

Soft Play Terms and Conditions.

  • All soft play equipment is suitable for use by children under 6 years of age. Jumpin Janners strictly prohibits the use of soft play equipment for anyone over the age of 6 years old.
  • The hirer will be deemed to have inspected the equipment and any accessories and will have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless brought to the attention of Jumpin Janners when setting up the equipment.
  • A competent adult must supervise soft play equipment (over the age of 18 years old) at ALL times.
  • No smoking on or with in close vicinity of any soft play equipment.
  • Strictly NO SHOES, sharp objects, food, beverages allowed on soft play mats, ball pools or equipment.
  • The hirer prior to collection of the equipment must collect Ball pond / pit balls. Failure of this requirement will result in a £35 collection charge.
  • Soft play pieces must be placed back in the original set up location ready for collection.
  • The hirer is responsible for the care and security of all soft play equipment, whilst in their possession. Damage to any equipment whilst in the hirers possession will be charged accordingly.
  • Soft play equipment is sanitised between every hire, however, please try to keep the soft play equipment in as clean state as possible, this helps to protect the longevity of our equipment. Please treat our equipment with respect, mistreated or overly dirty equipment, when being collected, will incur a £35 cleaning charge.
  • Party poppers, streamers or silly string is strictly forbidden on the soft play. The dye from these objects can stain the equipment. The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused by use of these objects on the soft play for the monetary value.
  • The hire period will have been agreed prior to delivery of the soft play equipment. Any obstruction by the hirer or their guests will be charged at £35 per hour.
  • Accidents must be reported in the Jumpin Janners accident book, including dates and accounts of what occurred and signed by the injured third party representative.
  • Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee. Whether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Jumpin Janners excludes any liability for injury, loss or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to our terms & conditions.
  • The hirer is responsible for the care / supervision of all users of soft play equipment. Whilst the equipment is in the hirers possession and control, liability for injuries or other losses caused, rests solely with the hirer. It is strongly recommend that the hirer have appropriate public liability insurance, covering their liability arising from the use of our equipment.
  • Pets are not permitted on the equipment. The hire of this equipment at a personnel address / venue must be pet free.
  • Caution – equipment may become hot when in direct sunlight. Body parts should be covered to avoid skin contact with PVC.
  • Equipment is not to be thrown at other people to prevent injury to all users.

Setting Up Safely

  • We will not set up any bouncy castle outside on hardstanding, i.e – concrete, tarmac, decking, etc.
  • Any castle outside will only be set up on flat (5% slope maximum), grassed areas. This area must be debris free and not have any obstruction around, under or above the unit. The ground must be able to hold the anchor points required to set up the bouncy castle. Failure to meet this requirement could mean that the hirer is liable for the full costs if we were to arrive and not be able to set up.
  • We will not set up on astro turf or any artificial grass. Other ground types, but not limited to that are not acceptable would be, gravel, stones, sand, etc.
  • Setup must be with in 25 metres of main electrics when mains electrics is required.
  • Adverse weather conditions would prevent the hire of any bouncy castle outside.
  • Caution – equipment may become hot when in direct sunlight. Body parts should be covered to avoid skin contact with PVC. Socks are always advised when on any inflatable. Body parts not covered may be at risk of friction burns. Turning over mats regularly will prevent them getting to hot.
  • There must be plenty of space around the equipment to setup safely. Sizes can be found on the advertised products for minimum space required.
